"Guiding Motivated Adults on a Journey of Self-Discovery and Healing Through Understanding the Intricate Threads of Past and Present Trauma"
Working with me…
I use an integrated approach to therapy that is based in neurobiology. This style of therapy provides individuals with understanding of how our autonomic nervous system influences responses to stressors and traumas impacting our emotional well-being and ability to engage in social relationships. This approach also provides valuable insight into how to regulate our nervous system responses, promoting feelings of safety, connection, and resilience.

Maybe you are noticing increased stress and conflict in your personal relationship. Even though you've made progress in your personal growth journey, you're finding it challenging to stay connected to your true self or your partner as you navigate through this current situation.

EMDR Therapy
Our brains and bodies naturally seek healing from traumas and wounds. However, when circumstances such as relationships, environment, or social factors prevent this healing, our system tries to ensure safety through reminders, commonly referred to as ‘triggers.’
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) offers a valuable approach to assist individuals in reprocessing distressing memories and the associated emotions, leading to a more adaptive response and promoting healing from traumatic experiences.
EMDR therapy aims to address these ‘triggers’ by identifying a network of memories that have contributed to distressing beliefs, emotions, physical sensations, and images over time. Through the use of bilateral stimulation (BLS), which involves alternating touch, sound, or eye movement, EMDR facilitates the reprocessing of these memories in adaptive ways.

EMDR Intensives
In traditional therapy, the demands of everyday life can sometimes impede our ability to thoroughly address the work required to move beyond our trauma. Scheduling conflicts, weekly check-ins, and insurance-related time constraints often limit our ability to delve deeply into these wounds during each session.
EMDR Intensives provide a solution by allowing you to prioritize your time for healing. What might take weeks or months of trauma work in regular sessions can be achieved within a matter of days. With the equivalent of 6 weekly sessions in just one intensive session, healing and progress occur at an accelerated pace, facilitating a swifter journey forward.
